It all depends... are you talking milk or are you feeding her yogurt, and cheese, and other milk products? Is she eating regularly? Is she still drinking a bottle or sippy cup?

She is eating regular meals and I'm feeding her a 9oz bottle of milk in the morning 9oz at dinner and 9 oz at bedtime is that too much? When do I need to cut down?

I would cut down to 8 oz... maybe twice a day. I forgot to ask if it was milk from a jug or if it was breast milk or formula? She could be drinking milk from a jug finally with no problems. I just think it would be better to give it to her in a cup. Sounds about what I did for all of my kids (4) and they are all alive and well to this day;) Why are you worried?

Its 16 to 24 ounces a day but remember cheese, pudding, and ice has calicum, but its always best to ask your doctor.

She is on milk from a jug, she drinks it from a bottle though... I just wanted to know when to give her less milk because she's not that fussed on her dinner time bottle. And I'm going on holiday for a week and I'm going to give her the bottled cow and gate milk for the week because we are all inclusive and haven't got a fridge to keep fresh milk.
I'm glad that your 4 children are all well... good job

Well, thanks.
Charlie, it would be fine to get rid of the supper time bottle. She should get plenty from other foods she is eating, just like I said before, you can take her off the bottle and give it in a cup or even a sippy cup. Are you not from the US? Sounds like you are doing things right, don't be too worried;) Remember, healthy foods and enough vitamins and such should do the trick!

Cats and milk
[ 2 Answers ]
In the 1950's I remember that we used to feed our pet cat milk or cream (if they were lucky) almost exclusively. That was thought to be what they ate, and we had several cats that lived for years on cow's milk. Now my cat won't touch milk and I read that cat's are generally lactose intolerant...
