    Craftsman mower 917377292 pull rope
    The pull rope snapped right at the engine. I can not for the life of me figure out how to get into the assembly to rewind it. Any suggestions or advise?

    Remove the blower housing, pull out all the rope you can, hold the pulley on the inside of the housing, and pull the other end of the rope with the knot in it through the pulley. Now take a length of rope and burn it on the ends. Blow out the flame, wipe a cloth from up on the rope off the end to give the melted end a "point". Then turn the pulley until it stops, then back off about 1 1/2 turns. Then align the holes in the pulley and housing and then place the rope through the holes. Tie a knot in the end that come through the pulley. Then tie a knot about a foot from the other end and let go, the rope should rewind into the housing, rerun the rope through the handle and put on your handle.

I have a B&S Troy-bilt that I bought in April. I have used 3 times. On the 4th time the mower was working. It suddenly died. I assumed it was low on gas. I added gas and the pull rope will not pull. I am not sure how to fix any ideas.
