I've just been served an unlawful detainer.
I live in HUD housing and when I was at work my boyfriend who was in my home was arrested for a bogus parole violation. My landlord called the police. The violation was dismissed, but now I've been served an unlawful detainer. I don't know if I will win in court, but I just need more time to move. The landlord has been harassing me for months using our apartments connections with the police to intimidate me. Does anyone have any answers?

You will have to appear and defend yourself.

Depending on the judges decision, you may be able to ask him for the maximum amount of time to find another place and get moved.

If you can present a valid and believable defense, he may even rule in your favor.
