I had a baby four months ago and haven't had my period yet (I breast fed for two months) I had sex a month ago and took three pregnancy tests (the last one was last week) They all turned out negative but I'm still nervous. Are these tests accurate even though I never started my period after giving birth? I also started birth control a little over a week ago. I have been pretty tired and have been feeling kind of sick sometimes but I think that can be a side effect of b.c. can't it? I just need to know if I could still be pregnant after three negative tests over a month's time. ( also, we barely had sex it was about two minutes long, neither of us were really interested)

It's very possible you could be pregnant, but then again it can take up to a year for your hormones to get back to normal after pregnancy.

It may be time for a blood test from your doctor to get the answers you need.

I was in the same boat as you a few weeks ago. I also have a four month old, I had two regular periods, then the third one came very very late. I took I don't know how many pregnancy tests, each were negative, and I always felt sick to my stomach, tired, and have headaches all the time. Then last week I finally started. Give it time. Especially since you breastfed, I've heard if you breastfeed it can take a little longer for cycles to get back on track. Also our hormones are a little out of wack still.
