Hey everyone.. I am new to this but I have a question. 2 weeks ago I started spotting about 6 days before my period was due to start. I thought it was just my period coming early but it never came. I just spotted, not enough to even get on the pad. I had cramping and thought at any moment I was about to 'really start' but nothing ever happened. So where my problem is, is about 3 1/2 weeks ago I started taking adipex (diet pill) and I am wondering if that could have made me miss my period completely or maybe its implantation bleeding? I am 24 and my husband and I have been married now for about 6 months and we haven't been using any kind of birth control as we both want kids. We haven't been really 'trying' but we also haven't been not trying either. Whenever God blesses us with a child is when we want it. But I am a bit overweight so I was trying to lose a little weight first. So I don't know if it's the adipex that is affecting me or what is going on? I have read all the symptoms girls get when they are pregnant so I'm not sure if I'm just thinking I have symptoms or I really do. I know for sure I have been having a lot of dizzy spells and a lot of nausia and headaches. A little more clear discharge that doesn't itch or anything, than I have ever noticed before. I have a stuffy nose, but not sure if that has anything to do with anything. But no breast tenderness and that is something I do normally get when its 'that time'. I am usually pretty normal with my cycles but as of right now I am 6-7 days late and 2 negative pregnancy tests. Is it possible for that to be wrong? :confused: I know I should wait a while and test again, but I know my body and I have never done that before so I don't suspect I'll be getting a real period this month. So if it is not pregnancy what could cause me to only 'spot' for about 3 days and have no real period? OR do some women do that sometimes? Or if I am pregnant then when should I test again? I don't want to go to the doctor unless I really need to so I am so confused and any advise would help so much! Thanks in advance to everyone! :)

It is possible that it is due to the weight loss meds you are on. It is possible that it is stress.

Also, understand that hpt's give quite a few false positives, especially if the directions are not followed exactly. You have to use first morning urine, whether the package says so or not, it is just more effective that way.

When was your last female physical? It may be time to schedule one.

I actually scheduled one but the earliest they had was the 13th of December but do you think I should quit taking the medicine till I find out for sure? Also I haven't really been stressin about it,so I don't think that's the reason I would totally skip a period, but I don't know for sure? Also I did another Clear Blue Easy Dig. Test and it was negative... but I didn't use first morning urine. So when do you think I should try again? Tomorrow morning? Or wait awhile?

You can try again tomorrow morning. If it comes back negative then you should stop the weight loss meds and treat your body like it is pregnant until you can get into your doctor.
