How DO I remove the Bolt in the center of flywheel
I have a Craftsman Lawn tractor model #917.271651 How do I remove the center bolt on the flywheel, so I can remove the flywheel. Does it take a special puller.

There is a special wrench to hold the flywheel, or use an impact gun to remove the nut. The flywheel itself also has a special type puller. Not really that special, but do not go to hitting or prying too much on the flywheel, it has magnets that can become damaged. As well as the housing of the engine is thin and can be broken if pryed against. Use extreme caution.

An impact wrench is good for breaking loose the nut that holds the flywheel on, once you get it off you can buy an inexpensive set of tools that is made just for pulling the flywheel.
