Did I make a mistake?
My and my ex went out for about a year, he lived with me for 8 months... we broke up a about a month ago. And now wer talking again. Buht he has a girlfriend. On Saturday we had sex 3 times and he said that soon him and I will get back togeather... should I have had sex with him?

No you shouldn't have at all, for multiple reasons. First one being HE HAS A GIRLFRIEND which you knew about yet still chose to sleep with him. Second, you have just told him basically "if you just want a eff buddy, call me up" Are you really going to fall for the whole "we will get back together again" scheme? If you do get back together(which I doubt) what says he wouldn't cheat on you?

My gut check is "dear Lord no!!!"... but I don't live your life and I'm not in your head. So is casual sex with someone who may not commit to you acceptable? Yes? No? There's your answer.
Until he is with you, he isn't. You are helping him cheat on a girlfriend. I don't care about your history... until he is with you, he Isn't. Sleeping with a person to get them back is not really a strong foundation for a relationship. And that he is willing to cheat on a girlfriend shows his lack of respect for relationships. That you are willing to sleep with a guy who has a girlfriend means you are willing to compromise your standards or you are open to sex without commitment... but you wouldn't be posting here if that were the case, right? So... why did you break up? Until that issue is fixed, he shouldn't be in your head and your bed... unless you like the chaos. |

So in the time of a month he has a new girlfriend? I mean... dating someone new can happen... but who is she? When did he hook up with her? Did he break up with you? To date her? What's the history?
If he's not been dating long, OK... maybe he isn't that serious with her... but you called her his girlfriend, so he is cheating. So what's the history here. Might put some things in perspective. |
