    Why does frost build up on ice dispenser shute
    Whirlpool side by side refrigerator

    For the last month are so I have noticed frost build up on my ice dispenser inside the door. It is where the ice comes out the hole going into the door.

    I would first check to see if the flap that seals the opening in the door is secure. If that is leaking warm air from the kitchen into to freezer, you would get frost buildup.
