Sexual offense of a minor
My daughter is a victim of a sexual offence. The person is a family member.he got out recently.and has been coming to my work.he was on probation and got told he was not allowed around us.I was told today he was off probation.Does this mean he's allowed around us now and is there anything I can do so he's not allowed to be around us?

What country/state do you live in?
You may be able to get a Restraining order but in some states you have to prove physical abuse.
As for your daughter he should have to sign up on the Megan Law/sex offender places and still not be allowed anywhere near her or any children for that matter,

Get a restraining order - him coming to your work is proof of harassment.
(Is he a registered sex offender? What level? That makes a difference, too. Very often part of the sentence is to stay away - far, far away - from the victim and his/her family.)

First if he just recently got out, he would be on parole, not probation, you do probation instead of gong to jail, you go on parole when you get out of prison.
But if he just recently got out, ( like a few months) he wold not be off parole yet most likely) But if you are having issues, get a restraining order, but when he comes around, call the police, if he is on parole or probation and orderd not to come around, calling the police should take care of it, but if not, it gives you a written record of the problems.

Part of the plea was he had to register but when I looked I couldn't find him... Someone said maybe because he was a minor its sealed but I don't see how that would be fair... I wrote a letter to the gov... today I'm not happy

I live in Pa and you can get a restraining order (order of protection) under certain conditions.
They tell you you have to have bruises but under some circumstances you should be able to get one without being beat up.
This is the Pa code
Pennsylvania Code

I wrote to the gov... today the should have something for victims... so he can't come around us... right now he's coming where I work knowing it bugs me but what if he gets brave and starts coming around my daughter how can that be right... I feel the law is unfair to victims

I do agree that Rendell had made crime easier with cutting funding for law enforcement but there should be something you can do.
Does your work call the police and report that he is a nuisance every time he comes around?
Some public places do have the right to ban people that are being a harassment.

In most instances there is a maditory protection order issued in a crimes against persons case. This should protect the victim from anytype of contact with the defendant. If there was not one issued you should get a protection order issued. Due to him being a Juvenile it would be probation and trying to find info on him is a lot harder even with the megan law but you should report it to your local law enforcment agency any time he comes around. You still have the right to protect your family from unwanted subjects.

As OP posted, she can't get an Order - she's in Pennsylvania: The Pa Law is: "In order to petition for a PFA, you must be, or have been, in a relationship with or a family member of the person against whom you want to file."

In her question she said that he is a family member. Would that not work for the Pa law for a Protection order.

I guess not - this is what the OP said: "you can only get a pfa if you were in a seaual relationship with the person i tried today." Amazing but that's what she said.
With apologies to people in California... I thought some of those laws were very different from NYS but this one is more than... different.
