Changes in a cat's behaviour can be a sign of illness. If you have no other explanations for her change in behaviour (new odors, sounds, people, changes in the amount of attention she gets) you may want to take your cat in for a quick check up at the vet, just to rule that possibility out.

Is it possible that you might have rolled on top of her or kicked her while sleeping? That might be something she remembers and doesn't want to have happen again, but is unsure about where she should sleep otherwise.

It's also possible that she is just looking for more attention... and training you to come get her when she calls! ;)

If you are stuck though, it's best to have the vet check her. It could be something serious, or could just be a mild case of the flu - but for cats.
It's always better to catch health problems earlier rather than later.
