    Signing over parental rights
I was wondering if it is possible to fight in court to reinstate you parental rights if you signed them over willingly?

I wish you the best of luck with this! I hope it all works out for the best!:) Remember the child is the most important so put them first. It sure would be nice to know a bit more info, I have been involved with parents that have had their rights taken from them, is this what happened? Or did you voluntarily give up your rights, it really does matter. If you could answer with a few more details we can help you more! Thanks, Start

I voluntarily signed them over because I was in a bad situation as their father lost the kids while I was away. I fought for 2 years to get them back, I was so emotionaly drained that I didn't know what to do. I thought at the time because of others opinions from social services that I was doing the right thing for my children. They had gone through way more than me and I thought if I was drained they have to be twice as much. I didn't have a lot of money and they knew that. But the best way to explain would be to give the paper work I do have to someone to look at because it was a crazy situation. I broke up with their father as soon as I found out about the kids and never went back, other than getting my clothes from his place. Im hoping someone can give me some good advice. Thank you for taking the time.

So it has been years. Is this correct? If so, you probably do not have a very good chance, I am sorry. Where are they now? Do you know? I am trying to make total sense of your post but I do not get the fact that you broke it off with him as soon as you found out about the kids. Please make yourself clear.

It has been awhile, but their father has not lost his parental rights yet as he appealled to the court system. I had to break up with him according to social services. They put a no contact order on him. I could not have any contact at all with him.

I cannot help you. Please start here:

    1. How old are you

    2. When did you lose your rights?

    3. Why did you lose your rights?

    4. Who do your children live with? (how many are there)

    5. Who exactly made you sign over your rights and where you not allowed to talk to the father?

Beth, sweetheart, I wish you the best of luck.
