Did you also claim your son? If you both claimed him, IRS will find out very quickly and there is no need to blow the whistle.
Would you report this just to make a point with your ex or to get him in trouble or because somehow it would benefit you?
Otherwise, quite frankly, unless you or your son are harmed by this, I would do nothing.
