    Building a deck
I have a rooftop terrace I want to put a deck on. I know there are weather proof alternatives to wood that can be used as deck material. I prefer the look of real wood. So I was wondering if there is a material that might work well for the support and frame that will not be seen and holds up better than wood. Then I could just put the wood on the surface which is all you would see anyway. Is there any material that would work well with wood in this application?

    Thank you,
    Chase

Pressue treated lumber is usually used in this application. I have seen a fairly new material that is made of shredded milk jugs and formed into planks with resin. Never used this material but there is nothing to rot. It can be cut, nailed and screwed like wood.
