    Chronic cervicitis
I need a qualified medical professional to explain to me possible causes of Chronic Cervicitis as a diagnosis from a PAP (or colposcopy I can't remember which). I have had abnormal PAP's, colposcopy's, and a LEEP so I am aware of the lingo.

As you may or may not know, the suffix -itis refers to inflammation. So, chronic cervicitis means that you have a chronic (or long term) inflammation of the cervix.

Cervicitis in and of itself is very common and is usually caused by an infection.

As you know, chronic cervicitis may make it difficult, if even impossible to conceive, as the infection spreads to the uterus as well as the fallopian tubes.

Have you had any of these cautery (also known as heat cautery), cryosurgery (also known as freezing, or cold cautery), and laser treatment?

I had to have a LEEP done back in November for LSIL (low grade intraeplithelial lesion) and just went for my follow-up PAP last Monday. I haven't got the results back, but my doctor said I shouldn't have any problems at all. Do you think he is wrong?
