Chronic sinositis
Doctor told me that I have got chronic sinosites.I tried his treatment I have not yet got ri d of cough and my mucous is white.doctors say this is due to allergy.I had my blood test done my euosinophils were high about 15.so itook tablets for that also but I didn't recovered.I m still suffering from the same problem .can you tell me the medicine name(specify name of the drug which the medicine has).which I have to take and the dose for that so that I can recover quickly. I'm having this problem from last20 days. Do help.. if you have any questions to ask me do reply

Karan, no one can prescribe medicine for you.
I am very well aware of how bad sinuses can get. My son suffers from them terribly... he has taken antibiotics for 3 weeks at a time. You really must continue working with your doctor. If you feel like this problem is more than he can treat consider going to a specialist. |

Unfortunately there are many variables that go into prescribing medication. Therefore, it would be against better judgment for anyone to tell you what pill to take and what dosage to use.
Since we do not know your entire medical history, cannot do an exam, don't know what allergies you may have, and don't know your weight, it would be ill advised to prescribe anything over the internet. Now, you should get a second opinion if this has not resolved in over 20 days. It could be an infection that may require antibiotics. |

Chronic sinusitis means inflammation of the sinuses, and is usually caused by allergies, rather than a bacterial infection.
Your best bet is to work with your doctor to determine just what you are allergic to, and then eliminate those allergans as you can and treat those you can't. Allergies and chronic sinusitis do not go away overnight. It may take several weeks to get this problem under control, so be patient, and trust your doctor. However, you need to let him or her know that you are not seeing any improvement yet so you can move on to another treatment if necessary. |

You ask your primary doctor to refer you to an ENT specialist. I had those problems you describe and after two constant months of antibiotic after antibiotic my primary doctor referred me to an ENT. Best decision ever. Expensive too, but I do not suffer nearly as bad as I used to. Now I might have a stuffy nose a couple times a year that I can treat with OTC's - no sinus infections.
So ask you doctor to refer you. If you are seeing an ENT, ask for a second opinion and further testing. |
