Online tax filing-joint file with wife's itin
    Hi,
I need help on the tax filing front. I was trying to e-file my tax for 2008. I have opted for joint file(sites like turbo tax,tax online sites). I have ssn and filled up that information.
My wife is not having ssn, she has itim. But at online tax sites not having provision to
Enter itin, they are asking ssn. In that case would not be possible to for e-file return ?
I need to go for paper filing. I am not in states now. Can any one help.

You SHOULD be able to file on-line using the ITIN in place of the SSN.

If not, order TaxAct software from File Taxes Online - Do Taxes FREE - File Taxes With TaxACT, download it and prepare the return. You can then efile it from your computer. I use TaxAct software and have efiled multiple returns with ITINs with no problems.
