Do I file Married Filing Joint?
I got married last year. My husband resides abroad. He only came to visit for about a month and went back.
Do I file my 2007 Taxes as Married Filing Joint or Single?
If I am filing joint, what information do I put for his Social Security Number?
How do I handle his income? He made the equivalent of $15,000 last year.

    Thanks

Assuming your husband is a non-resident alien, then you file either as single (event though you are married) or as Head of Household if you have a qualifying relative living with you. Since your husband is not a US citizen or resident alien, he doesn't file any taxes with the US.

You cannot file as single. You must file as married filing jointly or married filing separately, or as ebaines indicates as Head of Household if you have a qualifying relative living with you. If you elect to file jointly, your husband must include all of his worldwide income on the U.S. tax return. He may then be able to claim foreign tax credits if any foreign taxes were paid. Your simplest approach is to file married filing separately or as HOH (if qualified).
