    New drain system
Am I correct with the following drain sizes:
    Bathroom sinks 1 1/2 drain w/ 1 1/2 vent
    Kitchen sink 1 1/2 drain w/ 1 1/2 vent
Stand up shower 2" drain w/ 2" vent
Toilet 3" drain with 2" vent
    Shower/tub 2" reduced to 1 1/2 with 1 1/2 vent

Also, what does anyone recommend when plumbing drains into a horizontal stack?
Will tees be OK or are you better off with wyes?
    Thanks

    Hi Johnwi3:

    Bathroom sink... correct
Kitchen sink... correct by code (BUT, I run all kitchen sink waste lines 2"/1.5"vent)
Shower............2" drain... only need 1.5" vent
    Toilet... correct
    Shower/tub combo... correct

Tees are not allowed to pick up waste on horizontal pipes EVER!! SO, use wyes! You can use tee fittings for vents.

Making progress I see... ;) Let me know your thoughts. Mark

    Thanks,
Progress is slowing happening. The 4" main drain you guided me on is inspected and passed. In the process of working on the 3" stacks to the bathroom, trying to dry fit everything before I glue it all. I'll post some pictures when I get it pieced together... Thanks again for the help, I'm sure I'll need more.
