    Smell in the bathroom
We suspect that the smell might be coming from the bath tub. (It comes and goes. When it comes, it is unbearable) We called a plumber, who poured "liquid fire" into the drain. He asked us to pour citric acid and let it stand overnight. The smell seemed to go away, but it is back. Please help.

Did the plumber snake out the drain to remove anything rotting away in there? Most bad smells in tubs, lavatorys and showers are caused by rotting hair matted with grease from the soap. Try this for the smell. Tonight before bedtine Take a 1/2 gallon of bleach and pour it down the drain and let set over night. Next morning ,(and this is important) flush out the drain with two large pans of boiling water to loosen the grease and flush the mess out. The bleach will make the hair slippery and began to dissolve it and the hot water will melt the grease and flush the mess away. If the smell persists then snake nthe drain and do the bleach thingy again. Good luck and let me know. Tom
