Dual faucet won't turn off or on
I just turned the water back on in an unoccupied house. All faucets worked fine except an upstairs bathtub. At first, the water flowed fine, but when I tried to turn it off, the cold water would not turn off completely. Then it would not turn back on to full force. The hot water turned off, but will not turn back on at all. I had to turn the water back off in the whole house to stop the flow from the bathtub. Any easy fix to this problem. Thanks.

Are there two handles on the tub or just one? Do you know the brand of the valve?

It isn't as easy as a newer cartridge valve but the stems can be removed and rebuilt after cleaniung the seats. If you are a handy person with plumbing skills I can walk you through it. If not get 3 estimates from plumbers to do it for you.
