    Burping, bubbling 2
Hey, all I'm a newbe as of today. I just read tom's answer about snaking the stopup. My downstairs tub and separate shower burp and bubble when someone's taking a shower upstairs. I'm on a septic which was pumped about three years ago. Have I got a clog somewhere also, or is it different? Thanks, rikyB

Tom is the pro around here and I think he'd say bubbling toilets and showers usually means you have vent problem. When the vent can't allow air to enter the drain line you drain starts to act like a full pop bottle turned upside down. I think you will get your problem fixed if you rod the vent stacj from the roof. Use enough rod to reach roof to basement floor and about 15 ' more.

ballengerb1, thanks for your reply. I'll have to rent a snake that is that length. I have a small hand held that I've used on sink drains, but I know it's nowhere long enough. I''l try your suggestion. Thank you, very much

That hand held one is too small, probably 1/4". You need a 1/2", you can rent them a lot cheaper than buying a tool you'll use twice in your life.

Burping Toilet [ 1 Answers ]

Here's my problem: A few days ago my toilet started to burp while I was in the shower. Then, the water started to build up in the tub. Now, since last night, the toilet has no water in it unless you go to try and flush it. Once you do, the water just stays in the toilet and it very, very, VERY...

Burping plumbing [ 2 Answers ]

Well I'll just jump into this and say all our drains are flowing slowly- sinks, showers, washing machine, toilets. When we shower, our toilets burp. When you flush the toilet, water comes up the sink in the bathroom. The toilets also burp during the day. When you come home, the water in the toilets...

Bloated and burping [ 3 Answers ]

Hi, As of a few weeks I have been feeling extremely bloated and have been burping a lot. I think I may have acid reflux, but I am also feeling nauseous and don't have much of an appetite. I went off the pill for a month and during that time I didn't get my period. I had my period before that and...
