I have a new home with full basement and no plumbing. The sewage will have to be pumped up to the main floor drain line. How, and what products do I need to install a bathroom sewer drain system in my basement?

You need to look into something like this Saniflo macerating toilets: install a bathroom in the basement or any small space or a ejection pit need to be installed. In most towns this requires a permit and building codes may allow you to do this work yourself, maybe not. I would call the locally building inspector and get his read on the topic before going any further.

Thank you for your input on my basement bathroom project. I have looked into the Saniflo systems and the ejection pit method. The Saniflo system definitely looks to be the easiest way to got but the locals in the Greeneville, Tn area are not that familiar with this system and cannot recommend it.
Are there any inherent advantages buried sump pump ejection pit over the Saniflo system? Reliability? Performance? Adaptabilty?

If I may stick my nose in... (sticking nose in.. looks around):

Saniflo system is cheaper and easier to do for the average homeowner.. and it a great, reliable system. But since you have noted that it is unknown in your area... by the way does not mean you cannot get spec. sheets from Ballenger's post and show to local inspector and see what he thinks... let me try to answer some questions.

Advantages saniflo: 1) cheaper labor to install, 2) few problems noted with macerator pumps, 3) can install toilet directly on floor

Disadvantages saniflo: 1)Shower/bath must be raised off floor by platform, 2) toilet choices limited by some saniflo systems, 3) pump turns on more frequently than other pump systems, 4) whiney pump sound when pump turns on.

All in all.. this is a great system.. especially for homeowners that want to do own work.

The underground pump systems.. such as the zoeller basin/pump system is obviously more labor for sure, but can install all fixtures on floor (no platforms), pump does not cycle as frequently and you are not limited in toilet choices.

Anyway, once the underground basin and plumbing is installed... and concrete is poured over... the two systems become almost equal money except that the underground pump must have a full size vent run up and through the roof (not so for saniflo system).
