    Dial up connections
My original dial up provider (I use their email address) has told me I must use dial up connection to retain e-mail addresses. Have been on Broadband for three years now with different provider.

Have completely forgotten how to make the original physical connections between computer and telehone line. Any help on this rather stupid question would be welcome.

    Cheers

Why are you keeping the old dial-up provider if you now have a broadband provider? Are you paying for both services?
You could email everyone from your old address to inform them of your new email address (from the broadband ISP). Or better yet move to a webmail email address (Yahoo, Gmail, etc.) and not ever worry about who your provider is.

Oh, and welcome to the site. :)
