    Husband owes tax
    Good morning,

    My husband and I are separated. I always claimed my taxes but he didn't. I did filled taxes with him a few years earlier , not knowing he owed all this money because he never did his taxes before he meets me.
    We are now separated (not divorced yet) and It appears on my credit card history that there is a lien of $11,900, I find out that it is because he never paid his taxes. It is causing me problems to buy things under my name even though I am not responsible for this. I try to have a decent life on my own with my small salary , and there is a big amount of money.
    What can I do ?

    Contact the IRS (or whomever filed the tax lien) and see about separating yourself from the tax debt. You may want to get either a tax attorney or an enrolled agent involved.
