    Has he ever been responsible for anything, like household chores, taking out the garbage, making his bed, mowing the lawn, shoveling snow? If he didn't do these chores, did he suffer the consequences and maybe undergo some kind of punishment? Does he do his homework? If not, what happens? Is he in a school sports program? If he doesn't play well or doesn't show up for practice, what happens?

    Yes, we do need more information... but my guess is that your guidance, morals, love and learning respect for others should have started a long time ago. It is said, and I do believe it through my own experience, that the impressionable years are the first three, and they never quit. When you become a parent, it's on you to help him get there.
