My Power Venter gives me problems
I have a sidewall power venter for my furnace instead of a chimney and each year I have times when the power venter does not come on, therefore the furnace does not come on. I have had people in to look at it and they recommend removing it since they claim it is not necessary for my particular furnace. I am usually able to get it to come on but sometimes in the middle of the night the thermostat calls for heat and because my power venter fails to come on my heat does not. Is it as simple as the wiring? If it is, then why can't the gas company people seem to solve this, they say it is something I have to deal with.

It is not the gas companys responsibility to fix your equipment. Call a professional HVAC contractor to correct your problem. Side wall venters do need service and adjustments to continue to work properly. This is not a do it yourself job.
