    Father's rights
Thank you all very much. Your information was helpful. Someone told me that if my granddaughter's father goes one year without contact we can file to have his parental rights taken away. Does anyone know if this is true?

There is a possibility, but if he fights it, you will be in the same boat. I would be more concerend with ensuring YOUR rights then worrying about terminating his.
