    Father's rights
Thank you all very much. Your information was helpful. Someone told me that if my granddaughter's father goes one year without contact we can file to have his parental rights taken away. Does anyone know if this is true?

It depends on the state where you live... check online to see if the statutes are available, or call a local lawyer for a free consultation.
