    Washer and Dryer Connections
    Hello all...

I am in the planning stages of making several renovations to a condo I have purchased. There is an existing extra tub / shower, which I would like to remove and utilize the space for full sized washer and dryer. Im assuming that the bones of the plumbing for the washer would already be there, but the electrical for the washer and electrical / vent for the dryer would need to be installed.

    Am I correct ?

Pretty much. When you pull the tub/shower you will find a drain in the floor that would handle a washer, but it is in the floor about 18" out from the wall. You could build a small knee wall and create a stand pipe for your drain otherwise you need to tear into the wall and search for a drain pipe and cap the floor drain. Is your dryer gas or electric? Probably neither supply for a dryer is in this room so you'd be pulling in a gas line or 240 for an electric dryer. Is this room on an outside wall or what your thoughts about venting the dryer?
