Cooker plate is too hot
Dear All,
I have an electronic cooker plate (hob) installed (Candy PVS 640 RX). The problem is that when I cook on it, I can't adjust it's heat, or it is very-very fast. In theory it could be adjusted ungradually.
Any idea? Is it a failure at all?
Thank you in advance,
Peter

If it has an adjustment, may be shorted together, or not turning thermostat. Have you opened unit and identified parts, and check operation, also if there is a sensor not working, or came loose, you may not have control.

Dear Stratmando,
Thank for the quick response. Actually I didn't opened the hob. But I had problem with the oven unit ever: it (and the hob as well) was connected wrongly first time to the electric network. It was connected as I had 230 Volts (3 phases), actually I have 400 Volts (3 phases) instead. A fan went out, it was replaced and from this event the oven unit works fine, the heat can be adjusted precisely, so I didn't think that this can be a problem with the hob. In the case of the wrong connection the ceramic plate switched on and off frequently (cca. 4-5 sec). Can this be the problem?
To be precise: there is some difference when I use it on the minimal or maximal power, but it is very small (in fact the same).
Sorry, if my english is not perfect.
Thank you, sincerely,
Peter

How does the adjustment affect heat now? If able to reach temperature quickly, it would quickly switch off, cool enough, then back on.

Now it is hot quickly but it doesn't switch off, only when I heat a large amount of water (5-6 liters) and in this case it swtiches off quite infrequent, but so it isn't easy to cook something for two persons. A small amount water (1 liter soup etc) boils fast and I can't slowly heat it.
Bye,
Peter
