Shelley, it is not advised that you piggyback your question on someone else's thread, it causes confusion and your question may be overlooked. Therefore, I have moved your question to a thread of it's own. The good folks here with the answer to your question may be on soon. Please be patient, however, as we do this for free on our own spare time.

    Hello Shelly:

No. Of course you shouldn't snitch him off. Besides, if what you say about him is true, you'll win custody based on THOSE grounds alone. In fact, if you turn narc, it won't make YOU look very good to the judge either. Not only for hitting below the belt, but because most judges know that people don't start using drugs out of the blue. They also know that the wife probably did drugs right along side her husband.

If that's the case, you might lose your child too.

Even if it isn't, picture this: your child is a young adult and wants to know if it really was YOU who sent his or her father to prison?

Yes, you might win custody in the short run, but you'll lose your child in the long run.

You can, what level of probation is he on, is part of the probation allow the PO to do random drug tests??

Plus unless the PO locks him up, he will just be given a higher level of probation maybe.

If you have proof of his drug use, that can be shown in court, you file in family court for him to be drug tested.
What you will need to prove is that the other person is a danger to the child, and of course if you lived with him for years while he was on drugs, you must not have though the drugs were that dangerous?

I have seen drug using hookers keep custody of their children, so you need to know what your local judges want or look for.

If you do't have an attorney that is what you need to work on, since it is not going to be easy without one,
