If you were to read the thousands of posts here about giving up rights you would know that it only means that you will not have the rights to make decisions regarding the health and welfare of the children. In no way does it mean that you will NOT have to pay child support. If that were the case there would be a line a mile long at every courthouse in the world.

So, the answer is no, you will still have to pay. If you have concerns about support, custody, and visitation, maybe get an attorney to draw up papers so you can exercise what rights you do have.

There would not be 1000's of dead beat dads in jail if they could just give up their rights and not have to pay. First you can't give up any rights, if the other party does not allow it, and even if you give up your rights, you still have to pay child support ( unless the child is adopted by a new partner)

And why do you not have court ordered visits, if you are in court for child support, you merely file motions for visits.
