My mothers abandoned me how do I divorce her?
I moved in my mother last year in February. Before I moved in with her she told me she had a house, a car, and a great job. When I moved there I found out she lived in an apartment, had no job and couldn't pay her bills and was using a car from her parents.
After living with her for a month she told me she wanted me to live with my boyfriend and his family for a few weeks until she could find a job and pay bills. While I was staying at my boyfriends house she borrowed $300 dollars from my boyfriend to pay her bills. She had also called my dad asking for money to give me for school books. And later on after that she asked him to send her money to pay for summer school classes for me. She never paid me or my father back. And never needed the money for my school books or summer school, because I was in school anymore. I had dropped out because my mother refused to sign papers so I could attend the school. A few months went by and I hadn't seen or heard from her. I tried calling but her number had been changed so I went to the apartment that she lived in only to find out she moved. About 4 months had gone by and I finally got an email from her she told me she got married and moved to another state and started a "New" family. She continued to send me emails saying she never wanted me. I replied telling her she needed to grow up and be a mother. She responded with " i am a mother to the only child i ever wanted". I have saved the emails she's sent, to use as evidence. I've been trying to emancipate or "divorce" my mother so I can start my life up on my own. At this time I'm now 18 yrs old, its been about 7 months since I've seen my mother and I'm still living with my boyfriend in my own apartment. I have a job and I'm not attending school. I'm working on getting my ged in the summer.
I don't know what I need to do or the laws on emancipationg and child abaondonment. I want my mother to pay for the things she's done. There are so many adults out there who just leave there child on there own and don't get punished for it. What should I do?
I live in the state of Mississippi.

You are 18 and free to move and live on your own. There is nothing you can do now, since you are an adult and already emancipated due to age.

There is no divorce of a parent.

Your mother and your father are your natural heirs; if you were to die, they will inherit. Consult with an attorney and disinherit either or both by making a Last Will and Testament. Congratulations on picking up the pieces and moving onward and upward!
