    Deceiving landlords
I have been renting an apartment for 6 years. Upon a discussion with my landlord he decided to tell me the home was in foreclosure. Very non-chalant about it. He also told me that 2 other homes in different states are in foreclosure. But, he still wants me to pay rent!! My question is are there any avenues that I can use to find out if the home is REALLY in foreclosure?

The landlord is not obligated to inform you that he is facing foreclosure. Normally the lender will send a notice to the address when it gets to the final stages. Until you receive a notice that the foreclosure has been completed, you are obligated to pay the rent as you normally do.

Do you have a lease in effect or are you month to monht?
