My furnace or thermostat is not working
I have a honeywell RTH230B thermostat and my furnace is a carrier. Now the red light at the bottom of the furnace is on all the time when it works but then it will stop working and the red light will blink one short 4 long witch means it's a lockout. Now why does it do that and what do I need to do to stop it from doing that is it the thermostat or the furnace that needs to be looked at can someone help me with that because its getting real cold here

    Your furnace needs service.
Check to be sure your furnace filter is clean
It seems like the high limit control is probably causing this problem.
Make sure all heat registers are open and nothing is blocking the return air .
