Probation - Not showing up until it ends
I have heard of people waiting until their probation period ends before showing up to court. I cannot make the random drug screens because I have no transportation. I am not using any substances, but since it is a DUI they require random tests. Has anyone heard of waiting until the probation period is up until they show up to avoide penalty

If you don't report when and where ordered you are in violation and can be arrested and incarcerated.

I think that is only if you commit a crime. They do not actually come to your house and arrest you. So if I have to police contact, I think then I can wait until the time frame runs out.

    Hello idea:

I have never heard of such a cockamamie idea in my life, and I've heard 'em all. Dude! Do you really think the cops are that easy to get over on??

When you are delcared to be in violation, your probation STOPS and a warrant is issued for your arrest. When they catch you, after you serve your time for your violation, you'll pick up where you left off. If it takes 50 years to catch you, that's still what's going to happen.

No, you will go to jail if you do that. I have no idea who told you this, but it is pure bull.

If you are on unsupervised probation, you don't have to report, but ifyou are on probation, and don't report, the probation officer issues an arrest warrant for you, this warrant does not run out, so you will be arrested when you go back to court on the warrant and just go to jail, since once your probatoin is violated, you are no longer on it, and it does not run out.

Someone is telling you a lie, and going to laught when you go to jail.
