    Low Energy Lighting
We're replacing our kitchen recessed lights (halogen) with new dimmable, low energy versions. After switching the bulbs, some of the new ones give off an annoying hum. Any thoughts/suggestons?

    Thanks.

Are you talking about CFL's? I know you said they are dimmable, but I have heard a LOT of reports where CFL's don't do well on dimmers... dimmable or not.

The dimmer must be rated to handle fluorescent lamps, and the CFL lamps must be rated dimmable.
