    Bathtub faucet leaking
My bathtub faucet is leaking. I'm not sure if it's the cold, or hot side.

The faucet is a turn from left to right to get hot or cold water. It has a clear diamond shaped knob that is see through. I turn it to the left, and the water comes on. Turn it all the way to the left until it stops the water gets hotter. So then if I turn it back to the right the colder the water becomes. This is the type of faucet I have. Additionally, there is a faucet underneath the knob [that is leaking], whereby the water comes out into the tub. On this faucet is a level that if I pull up on it, the shower will come on. It I leave it in the closed [down position] position the water comes out of the faucet by design, into the tub.

My question is: "How do I replace the Washer that is within the Knob"

    Thank you

There should be a name on the face plate. We need it before we can help. Your faucet has no washers. A One handle faucet has a cartridge. Get back to us with the brand name and the age of the faucet, Regards, Toim

Delta bath valves don't have washers. They have seats and springs, (see image). The cutaway image I put up may not have your handle but the innards are the same. Number 7 are the seats and springs. Pick up a set from your Delta Dealer and change them out. Before you button up turn the water back on for a moment to flush out the supplies and valve body. Reassemble and test. Good luck, Tom
