    Foreign Inheiritance Taxes
A friend of mine recently has inheirited a large sum of money from a foreign deceased relative. Any idea of what the amount of federal and California state taxes may be due?

NO federal estate or California inheritance taxes will be due.

Any inheritance taxes paid (if any) will be paid in the country of the decedent.
