Hot water not reaching upstairs bath
Hello - I am having some problems getting hot water to my upsatirs bathtub.

I found a similar post to this last year, but the inquirer never replied to resolve the situation.

I have an upstairs bath room with sink and shower/tub. Our house was built in 2005 and we used the upstairs shower infrequently (but occasionally), and everything worked fine.

Now, after a lengthy layoff, the sink upstairs gets hot & cold water, but the shower/tub only gets cold water. We have tried leaving it on hot water only for a lengthy time, hoping it would bleed the air out of the system and start flowing, but no luck.

It is a single handle faucet that rotates clockwise, and I believe it is a MOEN.

If you have any suggestions, I would very much appreciate them. Thanks, and have a great day.:)

Shut the water off to the tub/shower valve and open up the valve. Check the inlet ports on the cartridge for trash and before you button back up turn on the cold water to flush out the supply and valve body. There should be a strong stream. If not click on back. Good luck, Tom
