Summons to pay credit card debt
I have been summons by Capitol One through an attorney for an unpaid credit card debt. I must reply in 30 days. The problem is the attorney fees. I am willing to pay Capitol One what I owe them, but the attorney fees are too much. They are asking the for the same amount as owe Capitol One of $852 dollars. Is there anyway I can get out of paying the attorney fees?

    Thanks,

Pay them what you actually owe, less the attorney's fees. Send them a letter by regular and certified mail return receipt requested informing them that you are willing and able to pay the balance and therefore do not consider yourself responsible for paying the attorney's fees. If they continue to hound you then let them take you to court and dispute it there.
