    Ledger on existing wood fram
    Hi:
I have a full height 2 story great room in my house. I do think to build the floor and add an office to my 2nd floor.
I considered of using ledger at the top of dry wall and nail it using 2 raw of the shear transfer nails to the existing rim joist, thin support the joist using joist hunger.
Is that a proper way, or there is a better way?
