    Terminating absentees parental rights
I have a four old who's father has (by his own free will and choice) not budged in two years to see, speak or at least update himself with the child in question. He recently claimed to the court that he wants to see the child. I moved out of the state that we all lived in and he never tried to see him before we moved and even less after we moved. He complains about the lack of relationship between him and the child only to bring me to court and inconvenience me, he does not
    Help maintaining the child's needs.

How do I go about terminating the father's rights?

Unless you have married and step-dad want to adopt you can't terminate the bio-dads rights. Even if you had someone to adopt the child and the bio-dad didn't want to then the courts won't grant it. You can go to court and seek full-custody, bio-dad can have visitation and support will be set up; if its not already done.

Maybe bio-dad had a change of heart and wants to see his child now. The courts will let him; he has those rights as the child's father no matter how long he has been gone.

If you would have moved on this while the father was absent and showing no interest, you might have had a chance... only though, if you has someone willing to adopt the child in his place... even then, it is still only a chance.

Now that the biofather is showing interest and wants a relationship with his children, you will not be able to terminate his rights. He will be granted visitation.
