I had sex a week ago while my menstrual cycle was on. And the next day my period started spotting and then two days later it went off completely. I am only 16 and I'm not sure if I am pregnant or not. The boy I am possibly pregnant by is 20. What should I do? Somebody help me

I would go to a drugstore or something and get a pregnancy test just to be sure.

Chances are you are not pregnant. You see, the reason we get our period is that our uterus sloughs off the endometrial tissue after we have ovulated and there has been no conception. It sounds as though you were just ending your period.

Now, if you are not wanting to become pregnant, and you shouldn't be due to the dangers to you and baby at your age, you should be using protection.

Also, I don't know where you live, but if you DO become pregnant by this boy (and yes he is a boy if a 20 year old is having sex with a 16 year old), it is very possible that he could be labeled a sex offender for life when your parents find out.

You can get pregnant any time during the month, but you are less likely to during or immediately after your cycle.

Unfortunately you are now in the waiting zone and must wait to see if you get another period in a month. A home pregnancy test will not detect this early.
