Back in the later 70's early 80's I remember my grandparents having fans in there Florida Rooms that were plugged in. Can't you do this with a new fan, say a Hunter Douglas? If so, how? Thanks, Brian

How can I convert my remote control combo ceiling fan and light to work normal off a light switch? I know I would need some kit to replace the remote receiver in the fan, so that I could manually switch speeds and direction and turn on light. Is there such a kit? The fan is made by Smartel, Inc....

Want to install Hampton Bay's Berlini model 729395 on a cathedral ceiling with a single ridge beam. Want to hang fan from the peak and there's not enough room for the canopy to cover the hanger bracket. Is there any extenders for this?
