If you turned the power off to the hot water tank, the water in the tank is now cool, so it will have to warm up before it will run warm. *** unless you have a instant tankless hot water system***
Each tank is different depending on size, voltage and so on.

The water will began heating as soon as you turn the power back on. As hot water raises you will be able to make small draw in 15 minutes. In a 40 gallon heater it will take less then a hour to bring it all up to temperature. Good luck, Tom

Hello. My tenant just phoned to say that the handle of the flush leaks when it is flushed. She also is noticing water around the base of the toilet. Just checking in to see what I should look for when I go over and what some possible solutions might be? Many thanks, JD
