I had moved out of a house, but didn't fulfill my lease, because I couldn't afford to pay my rent. The lady was susposed to fix a pipe in the basement but while I was moving out I noticed down in the basement it was still leaking and mold was growing bad and the floor was rottening. I had no idea about this until the day I started moving out. I had cleaned up the place and fixed some things. When I went into work yesterday my boss tells me that a lady acting crazy was in there looking for me and she was actually telling my boss that I owed her a lot of money and trashed her place. So that must be my ex landlord. Is this legal what she's doing? What measures can I take to get her not to harrass me? Personally I don't think I owe her any money, because I realized that house was what was making me sick on the account of the mold, I was having lots of sinus trouble the worst I've ever experinced, we all got ring worm which we never had, I had a lot of frequent headaches occur , and on top of that I had a miscarriage. I believe it was all because of the mold.

You broke your lease? You moved out before the expiration? Did you give sufficient notice? Did you have permission to do so? Did you take pictures or have other proof of the mold issue?

No, she has no right to go to your job and start yelling. But, depending on the answers to those questions you might owe her a significant amount.
