    Commercial Floor Sink
I need to install a floor sink and I need to know how it's properly done. I'm installing in a concrete slab which I've cut out to install the plumbing and sink. I know it needs to have a P-Trap does this need to be vented or is it self venting? I've tried to find a diagram on the net but have been unsuccessful. I'm running a 2 in line to the sink where the sink is about 12 in from the wall with the main line coming from the middle of the room. Do I run it directly to the floor sink or do I set it off to the left or right then vent the line direct to drain line then up the wall. Just need a sanity check. Thanks

You should install a wye or combination downstream of the floor sink and vent the floor sink through it into your nearest wall.

Hi All- Just put in new cabs & countertops. The kitchen sink (double bowl) drain and supply lines come directly up through the floor. I have a disposal and dishwasher to connect too. What should my drain look like since a traditional p-trap appears out of the question? I don't have/want a hole...

Hi all, So my wife and I bought this house several months ago. Initially the 2nd floor tub and sink drained slowly. I drainoed the and plunged the tub - problem solved, but the sink is stubborn. I've used a lot of draino and tried to plunge and snake it, sometimes it will help a little for a...

Bathroom sink drains through floor not wall [ 9 Answers ]

Hello First, let me say this a great forum. I just found it and registered. I want to put in a Kohler Cimmaron pedestal sink in my bathroom. The only difficulty is that the existing drain goes through the concrete floor rather than curving into the wall. And, it is about three inches off...

Plumbing - 1st floor sink backs up in sink below [ 3 Answers ]

I have a 1st floor kitchen sink directly above a basement sink. When the 1st floor sink is full, it drains quickly and backs up in the sink below - which then drains relatively quickly. No other problems here - the dishwasher drains fine, general use is fine - it's only when there's a full sink of...
