    Basement Rough-In Questions
    Hi All,

    First of all, I would like to say that this site is very helpful.

    I'm in the process of finishing my basement and have few questions about drainage rough-in, since my drain pipes are running above the floor level, along the wall.
    I'm planning to have a 3 piece bathroom (shower, sink, toilet)

    1. Looking at the fixtures left to right, I'm planning to have ejector pump, shower, sink, toilet. Besides the vent pipe for the pit, can one vent pipe running above the sink service the shower on the left and toilet on the right?

    2. What's the most popular ejector pump these days? I've heard of Zoeller, Flotec, Little Giant. Is there one specific brand/model that's recommended for my bathroom configuration?

    Yes, providing you connect the shower drain in with the lavatory drain line where it will be wet vented. The pit vent will be a dedicated vent and not tied in with another.

    Sorry! We don't recommend one manufacture over another when it comes to major appliances.

    Just to clarify. Is there a difference between having one main drain going from toilet to the ejector pit with shower and sink connecting to it vs. a drain going from toilet to ejector pit and a drain between sink and shower, which then joins the toilet/pit drain?

    Are there two separate inlet openings in the pit and do your instructions address it? I gave you the typical installation. Is there a reason for your question? Regards, Tom
