    Pregnant cat aggression towards infant
My cat is due to have kittens any day. This evening my 7 month old baby was crying and my pregnant cat attacked her. Is this common? Will it go away after the kittens are born? The cat has never shown signs of aggression before this.

A baby's cry is much like a kitten's cry. I've had cats for years and am guessing the cat's maternal instinct emerged. Once the kittens come, she will be too busy to mess with any babies except her own. Meanwhile, don't leave your baby unattended when the cat is nearby.
